The Observatory Hotel is Ideal for more intimate weddings of up to 100 people, and offers a surprising array of choices that will ensure your vision comes to life. Formal three-course meals, cocktail receptions, outdoor catering or even a high tea in the afternoon are all specialties of The Observatory Hotel.

Our wine and other beverages are hand picked to ensure only the most premium selection accompanies your event. A five-hour deluxe beverage service is also included in our wedding packages.

Wedding packages

Attention to detail is the inspiration behind our exclusive wedding packages, and our highly experienced functions staff will ensure that your day runs smoothly from beginning to end.

Both packages also include a deluxe room for the bride and groom, with valet parking and breakfast in the Galileo restaurant for two.

Wedding venues

Guests can relax and feel at home in the Drawing Room with canapés and pre-dinner drinks before moving to our main function rooms for dinner. Our Cornwallis Suite caters for up to 100 people in a banquet style, or for 150 people as a cocktail event. For a more intimate reception, our beautiful Orient Room caters for up to 60 people banquet style or 70 as a cocktail event.

We also offer catering if you prefer to have an outdoor event. A fully catered reception on Observatory Hill, located just across the road, will give your wedding party full harbour views while indulging in sumptuous cuisine. Also included is a deluxe range of beverages that are carefully selected to compliment the menu.

In addition to our Sydney location, The Observatory Hotel's sister hotel, Lilianfels Blue Mountains Resort & Spa, also offers a delightful reception alternative. Located close to Echo Point in Katoomba, just two hours from Sydney in the World Heritage Blue Mountains, Lilianfels enjoys an unrivalled reputation for fine dining, and is perfect for a memorable reception with stunning views.
